Our final show before Tim headed off to Singapore to marry the love of his life. We had originally planned to play at the Attic, which was a new potential venue at the time, but they had to stop having shows for a period in order to not upset the neighbours. Our soundcheck during the day almost did the same, with the chefs from the restaurant upstairs having to ask us to stop as apparently glasses were breaking upstairs.
Killmore Girls were supposed to play this show, but couldn't due to last minute illness, so Scattered Brains of the Lovely Union stepped in at the last minute. And I mean last minute, didn't know they were playing until I got to the venue to open the doors.
Ipswich came down to Dunedin to take over the reins as MUZAI's South Island noise-trio representatives, and Elegant Bachelor (Tim's fiancé, now wife Shazanah) opened proceedings.
By the end of the night we'd played for over an hour, people had lovingly shouted our names (including during Ipswich's set), fan style (as well as Gestalt Switch. Classic) and Sam had destroyed approximately six drum sticks.
